Singapore Wins 2010 Youth Olympics

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has selected Singapore as the host of the first Youth Olympics, which will happen in 2010.

The announcement came today that Singapore was elected the host over Moscow, Russia by a vote of 53 to 41.

The IOC anticipates 3,200 14-18 year-old athletes to compete in Singapore.
