Coaches Bill Furniss (Nova Centurion) and Dave McNulty (Derwentside) should both be feeling very pleased to day having put an old, old record to bed by ending 48 years of hurt for British women in the Olympic swimming pool.

Furniss, coach to Adlington & McNulty, coach to Jackson, can feel rightly pleased for the fantastic jobs they have done. With further medal opportunities for the British team ahead, we hope to be giving further congratulations in the week ahead.

In the meantime, the BSCTA would like to offer our sincerest congratulations to both men for the great job they have done.
