The BSCTA held its 45th Annual Awards Dinner, sponsored by asa Awards, at the Hinckley Island Hotel in Leicestershire.

It was a star spangled evening with young & old, elite & grass root, all mixing together to celebrate what has been a fantastic year for swimming in Britain.

Brian McGuinness, BSCTA National Organiser, started the evening by reminding everyone that the successes were not solely at the Olympic Games. Whilst GB finished top European nation in the Beijing pool, we were also 5th at the World Youth Champs in Mexico, 2nd at the Paralympics and Top Nation at the European Junior Championships in Belgrade.
